Free Wifi or not?

This article declares that Marriott's Courtyard chain (which I used a lot when I was on the road) is now offering free Wifi.
That sounds great but when checking on their web site there was nothing I could find that says their Wifi was free. I did find a reference to it being charged for by the online minute.
They do have a Wired-for-business service for which they charge $9.95 per day.
It sounds like they are confused. I expect once they have the infrastructure in for a while they will make it free to all guests.

Starwood is reporting that all 16 of its "W" properties are Wifi enabled. From their web site it looks like is included with the room which is how it should be IMHO.

Marriott will have to make their's free in order to compete.
