A had a discussion with my FiL the other day when he suggested that Iraq was becoming just like Vietnam.
"It is nothing like Vietnam. It is more like Germany after WW2, do you remember that?"
(I wasn't around then but he was)
"I don't remember anything like this after WW2"
My guess is either that they didn't put much in the press about it then. John has a post on a group called the werewolves who killed allies and German collaborators in the aftermath of WW2.
It is good to remember this because it shows that this type of thing that we are encountering in Iraq is not all that uncommon.
