The World is a Dangerous place

I don't link to the Agonist often but I thought this post was worthwhile in that it details the deaths resulting from conflicts around the world just in the past week or so.

It put what is happening in Iraq in context to what is happening in other places.

What might be interesting is if we have record from the Saddam era that listed how many people were killed by their own government on a weekly basis. It would probably show how we have actually brought peace to that country.
