Martin Luther King jr.

Quote of the Day

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

Martin Luther King jr.

Update: I spent some time today posting comments to this site because the people there found it odd that Dr. King's words would be echoed by a conservative. My main point is that Dr. King's words are not democrat or republican they are american. We all can strive for the american ideal that Dr. King talked about the difference is how we plan to get to that ideal. I don't think a lot of the ways we have tried in the last 30 years have helped those we all want to help and that we must scrap what does not work and find a way to get to Dr. King's dream that does.
