Margin of Error

I just watched a program on the History channel called Days that shook the world. This one was about the bombing of Hiroshima.

I never before knew that the bomb had been armed while the plane was airborne. A single man did the job in the unheated bomb bay of the Enola Gay.

It could have easily been a disaster. Lots of other things could have went wrong.
The day before 4 B-29's had crashed on takeoff. That was why they decided to arm it in the air.

There are so many points in history where something might have went a different direction and this was one of them.

It was a little scary watching pictures of the explosion. Could something like this happen to an american city? Terrible to think of but possible. It is for this reason we must defeat the terrorists and build a missile defense system. If you don't think so you are fooling yourself.
