More Kim

Kim du Toit's post is still causing echos all over the blogosphere. I keep finding references to it I have not read before like here on the Acidman's blog.
His server has still not recovered but if you click on this link you can read the post yourself.

Meryl has some more links and I have more to say in the extended section.

One reference I am still having trouble figuring out is Diana's where she he is guilty of Misogyny. I wonder if we are reading the same post. It doesn't seem to me that he hates all women just some that he thinks are responsible for pussifiying the american male. That all those women are probably feminists and Diana is a feminist is probably part of the problem. She also rips into him in this post and riht before that in this one where she rants about Glenn (you are a misogynist. You are scum,) and Bush for good measure.
At one point in these multiple rants she says:

In a way, Kim Du Toit has a point, although he isn't capable of understanding how he's making it. There's something very deficient about the modern male, particularly in America. None of them have a fraction of the maturity or masculinity that my father and men of his generation had. I would call it "infantilization"

She is actually making his point but refusing to see the part she and her sisters had in making it a reality.
She doesn't really argue the substance of what Kim's essay stated preferring to call him , Glenn and the President names and rant about things that have no bearing on the topic she is supposed to be blogging about.

I think she would be better served if she worked on her arguments and left the vitriol somewhere else.
