Wes Clark

I saw Wes Clark on Meet the Press this morning.
It is easy to see why he is the Clinton candidate. He is slick and arrogant the same way that Clinton is.

Tim asked him about his claim that if he were president he would have caught Bin Laden. His response is that he would have done things differently than Bush did. Bush we recall set the big goal and let his generals in the field do what they thought they needed to in order to get to their goal. Why then does Clark not critique the generals in command?

What he seems to be saying, to me anyway, is that he would have micromanaged the war and overruled the commanders on the ground.
This is the worst sort of hubris in a commander in chief that I could ever imagine. In fact it is the same sort of meddling that screwed up the war in Nam.

But you may say "Clark is a general", not the point I say.
The C in C does not command in the field, that is not his job and if Wes Clark thinks that it is then he has proved that he is not the right man to be president.
