![]() January 04, 2004Wes ClarkI saw Wes Clark on Meet the Press this morning. Tim asked him about his claim that if he were president he would have caught Bin Laden. His response is that he would have done things differently than Bush did. Bush we recall set the big goal and let his generals in the field do what they thought they needed to in order to get to their goal. Why then does Clark not critique the generals in command? What he seems to be saying, to me anyway, is that he would have micromanaged the war and overruled the commanders on the ground. But you may say "Clark is a general", not the point I say. |
