Who am I

I have been meaning to do a post like this for a while and now seems like a good time.

First who I am not is a female author who wrote the Spiral Dance and other wiccan/goddess books. You can find that Starhawk at www.starhawk.org.

Now who am I?
Well first who is Starhawk?
The character Starhawk was created by me when I starting playing a game on CompuServe called Mega Wars 3 back in March 1984.
If you are not familiar with Mega Wars 3 which was on online real-time multi player game, very much ahead of its time, here is a site that has a pretty good history of the game and how is was played.
Note that on this it states clearly that I was the Emperor of the last war. It doesn't state that I was also the Emperor for several wars before the final war.
I was also the last of a legendary team named the Dorsai that ruled the universe for a time until we decided to let others borrow it.
More on MW3 and the Dorsai when I build my Mega Wars 3 site in the near future.

The real me is a software developer who has working in the business for twenty plus years. Most recently, before my current state of being unemployed I was doing VB and Web development.

I lived most of my life in New York City from which I moved to the Houston Area in 1997.

I went to college at Ohio State and lived in Columbus for a while after I graduated. I also lived in Chicago for a few years. I also worked in Kansas City for 9 months which was almost like living there.

I have one wife, one teenage daughter, two cats and four dogs(2 big, 1 medium and one between the others),

I drink Jack Daniels, straight mostly but I also have been known to drink wine and beer though not at the same time.

In my life before getting into IT I was a restaurant Manager and Bartender. I would not say that I was one of New York's top bartenders but I did tend bar in one of the top clubs.
My last job in that field was managing a club on the upper east side that had live music seven nights a week. My life is a lot quieter now and I like it that way.

There is a lot more which I divulge from time to time but that is enough for this post.
