Good Op-ed here about blogging. I don't agree did the final quote though:

In the end, a blog is just a blog, but a newspaper -- cradled caffeinated in a morning lap curled barefoot into the seat of a porch rocker -- is a read.

I don't read newspapers, the writer who writes for one is certainly biased in that direction. We will find that blogs are a read indeed. Sometimes preferable to newspapers.
