Last chance for Peace gone in Mid East

There was a theory I heard not too long ago that part of what was going on in the mid-east was that Bush was basically giving the Palestinians one last chance to get their act together.
After today's terrorist bus attack they may have lost that chance.
Abbas was supposed to do something about Hamas and he has done nothing.
The Israeli's may do it for him after this.
