The Day after Turkey

We had Turkey early yesterday giving me the chance to read some good writers online.

One of my favorites for several years now had been Christopher Hitchens, this piece on Thanksgiving from the point of view of an immigrant is wonderful and compared to the vile thing put out by a certain professor in Austin several days ago, who I will not link to, makes me yearn to be able to trade some US citizens for some bright non-citizens who understand what they have in the US and can appreciate it.

Speaking us trading I see where Boston picked up Josh Beckett from the Marlins. That does not help the Yankees at all who more than anything could use some good young pitchers.

George Will has a nice piece on Willaim F. Buckley who turns 80 years young and proves it in his own column.

I am off to see if I can find an open barber shop, have a nice day recovering , I will.
