Renaissance Fair

It seems a little early to be writing about the Ren Fair in the midst of this heat wave but I just got my order of advance tickets for this event that happens every year on October and November weekends.
Maybe by posting this I will finally get my photo essay from last years fair done.

Anyhow.

This is year is something special. Two friends of ours back east are driving down as part of their honeymoon. To celebrate we decided to treat them (and us) to something we have thought about doing for several years but never wanted to shell out the money for. It is called the King's Feast

The King's Feast Package includes admission to the festival, and an all you can eat 6 course Black Angus Beef meal with a world class dessert, premium wine ,... and a limited edition commemorative pewter mug and a 2 hour variety show hosted by the Duchess Spendalot.

If you didn't guess by the Duchess's name the Ren Fair while very low tech is a easy place to spend a lot of money.
Actually when you consider what the pewter mugs sell for and admission to the fair, the feast is not a bad deal at all.
