Texas Star Hibiscus

It has been too long since I posted some garden pictures but I do have a few from this year before the heat wave turned most things into dust.
These are from the red Star Hibiscus. I have a white one too that I will show in a later post.

the plant itself is about 5 or 6 feet tall right now.

Gulf Beauty Plum 2009

Just took this picture of the Gulf Beauty over the weekend.
I am not sure we are going to get any fruit since there was a frost last week but it looks really good right now.

What is really interesting, to me at least is that I also posted about this tree in 2004 and as you can see it has grown a bit since then.
Quite a bit.
